The Author

Steve Royle, Senior Lecturer in Geography at Queen’s University, Belfast, studied geography at St John’s College, Cambridge and tool a PhD at Leicester. Formerly President of the Geographical Society of Ireland and the Geographical Association (Belfast branch), he serves on the (Irish) National Committee for Geography and the Council of British Geography.
