Ireland 1905-25: Volume 1, Text and Historiography (Pbk)

Category: A-Level History

A scholarly study of Irish history in the revolutionary period between 1905 and 1925. To set the scene the author begins his story with the republican movement of the 1860s, and in considerable detail traces the rise of both Irish Unionism and Irish Nationalism through to 1905, when the main story commences. This book contains fresh and original scholarship on this period and takes into account the arguments advanced by other historians. It is illustrated with photographs of the events and personalities it describes.
