Bus Eireann (Irish Bus)

Bus Eireann operate numerous coaches on its Expressway network, linking Dublin and provincial towns across Ireland. Caetano-bodied Volvo B10M VC 104 was on more mundane duties duties when caught at Letterkenny by our photographer; it was working the local service to Ballybofey. VC 104 was new in 1997.

Coming more up to date we see fleet number VG 5, a Volvo B12B with Sunsundegui coachwork. It, too, is seen at Letterkenny where it was about to work the 1500 departure to Dublin on Saturday 16 April 2005. VG 5 carries Eurolines livery for the connecting services to Holyhead and on to London (and beyond!).

The newest coaches to arrive with Bus Eireann are a number of these Irizar PB-bodied Scania K114s. Some wear CIE Tours livery while SP 25, seen here at Letterkenny receiving a sprucing up from its driver, carries standard Bus Eireann livery of white with red and orange swoops.
